MH is a community organizer, visual artist, writer, singer/songwriter, popular educator and yoga teacher. She completed her Master’s in Women’s Studies at the University of Ottawa in 2012 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal in 2006. Her work as an artist and activist has inspired current graduate research on political theatre and the intersections between art and social transformation and informed her practice in the art world as well as her interest in social movements, transformation and relevant political issues.

MH wears many hats which include freelance work as an artist, writer and singer/songwriter, serving the community as a yoga instructor and dabbling around as a blogger. She enjoys sharing an uplifting perspective on personal empowerment and community building with aims to reconcile personal and social transformation.

MH lives Ottawa, Canada, where she practices sustainable living, meditation and yoga, as well as the arts.
